Thank you Malaysians on behalf of the children and school of Thiaroye Guinaw Rail, Senegal Africa

I believe most of you still remember the last blog from me and saw the condition of the children and school at Thiaroye Guinaw Rail a village located near Dakar, Senegal. Many of my friends and family were sympathized of the people in the village especially the children and offered many ideas to help them. Few of my friends stand up and offer them help by collecting donations from their friends and family. I take this opportunity to honor them for their kind heart and willingness to take up such an honorable mission for the children and trust me in person as a representative. For this I would like to specially express my gratitude to Alfred Kuan, Ee Vern, Wei Tyng, Teresa, Margaret and all of you who with a kind heart, donated for this mission. Not to mentioned my Senegalese friend Mr.Sarre and Bieujeul for helping me to co-ordinate for this mission. In my last blog I point out the quote "Sometimes our work feels small and insignificant, but remember a small ripple can gain momentum and build a current that is insurmountable". Within a short period of notice (2 days), we have collected a total of RM 5028.80 from fellow friends in Malaysia. With great honor to those who helped whether small or big amount but with sympathetic and kind heart, I would like to testify your work with photos of them.

shopping car transport

The place I shop for the goods mainly rice, oil, soap, milk, sugar and etc. I would like to highlight that the total rice we donated is 1000kg. On my right is my company car taking the goods...thanks Mr.Gueye (my driver). Also I saw them buying only one scoop of tomato from the grocery shop.....imagine the seller use spoon scoop one table spoon and put into small plastic bag and I saw one lady only buy one bag!! Can you imagine how poor they are. We all waste tomato ketchup in McD like nobody business!

horse transport horse transport2

Well one car is not enough for the goods and we hired a horse to take for me. Well this is what we call "1 horse power". On your right you can see that it is a continuous loading to the horse...really pity him but he has done a good job.

goods arriving the school goods in school

The goods arrived safely to the school and we should praise the horse for taking more than 600kg stuff. The goods were placed in a room at the school and will arrange for distribution. Few more goods will arrived tomorrow as out of stock.

invoice

The invoice of the goods we bought for them. The total of the bill is FCA 645 200. I used up all my cash money (FCFA 100 000, Euro 250 and USD 100 - and still owe the shop CFA 60 000). Well I have to wait for my colleague to bring me some cash and they don't receive credit card here. The total collection is RM 5028.80 which is equivalent to Euro 995.80 (1Euro:RM5.05) which is also equal to FCFA 647 271 (1Euro:650FCFA). Highlight of the items are 20bags x 50kgs rice, 600 packets of oil, 360 soaps and few more small items such as sugar, milk, butter, chocolate and bread. This items will be distributed among 300 children and teachers in that school. The children, the village head and people in the village were aware of this effort and the distribution of the items especially rice and oil will remain fair, equal and transparent to all party.
