Eisenach, Germany
Eisenach is a city in Thuringia, Germany. It is situated between the northern foothills of the Thuringian Forest and the Hainich National Park.
The name of the place above is Nikolaikirche and Nikolaitor. It is located just next to my hotel (Hotel Steigenberger). It is a very nice and friendly hotel with excellent fine dinning. The hotel is clean, reasonable price with comfortable room and the location is superb as it is near to the train station, market and city center.
The history of Eisenach is linked with the Wartburg Castle, which was built according to legend in 1067. There were at least three settlements below the castle, that merged to a common city in the second half of the 12th century. This town, Eisenach, was first mentioned in 1180.
On your right is the big wind turbine to generate "green" power. You can see this on the way from Eisenach to Marksuhl.
Eisenach beautiful night scene....and it's only start to get dark at 10.30p.m
On the way to The Dragon valley......Shhh…silent you will wake the dragon! You have to go through narrow space with two tall walls in between beautiful carved by the mother nature and strictly not for big size people. It was chilling surrounded by greens under the protection of tall trees. It is a beautiful valley surrounded by a very old forest. Definitely a good place to visit especially for family.
