Chinese Wedding Tea Ceremony

Chinese Wedding Tea ceremony is performed during a Chinese wedding. Any sweet tea, symbolizing sweetness in the new union, is good for the chinese wedding tea ceremony. You can use sweetened red tea for simplicity sake, but some traditional chinese sweet teas are preferred for the good connotations in their names.

The Chinese wedding tea set used for the tea ceremony is kept as a wedding present. The bride's parents will pay for the tea set which is a part of the dowry. The Chinese tea set is a meaningful keepsake for the couple.

See the sweet look on their face drinking the tea. Well they play some games by using a big bowl to serve the tea. My mum is so great and able to finish up one bowl :-)

Frankfurt, Germany

IMG_0332 IMG_0325 Typical building in Frankfurt....well this is what we call "concrete jungle". On your right you can see the mix of the old design architecture mix with the modern building with metal and glass.

 IMG_0476 IMG_0478

A very special shopping complex with a hollow oval shape protruding into the mall. A great design that catches my eyes from first sight. Saw a guy selling lots of balloons with cartoon character and I bet the children will die to have one from this guy :-)

The street poles look nice from an angle so I just post it for fun. Somehow my friend, Harris should capture these poles better than me. IMG_0466 IMG_0369

Bees enjoying the "honey" from the flower. Well I know the word is not honey because it was produced after the bee gather from the flower. On your right my friend, Harris trying to be funny. Well he is still single and available :-) Interested?

Warsaw, Poland

Warsaw is also known as the "phoenix city", as it recovered from extensive damage during World War II, being rebuilt with the effort of Polish citizens. Warsaw is the capital and largest city of Poland with tremendous history background from 18th - 20th century and World War II IMG_0426 IMG_0445 On your left, Warsaw mermaid a symbol for Warsaw. Legend says that a mermaid once swam to Warsaw from the Baltic Sea for the love of the Griffin, the ancient defender of the city, who was killed in a struggle against the Swedish invasions of the 17th century. The mermaid, wishing to avenge his death, took the position of defender of Warsaw, becoming the symbol of the city. On your right a beautiful Polish lady. IMG_0424 IMG_0455 The market place known as old town. Warsaw has two historic districts, called Old Town and New Town. They are adjacent to each other and the newer section is almost as old as the Old Town. The Old Town, called Stare Miasto in Polish, was completely destroyed in World War II but, like Nürnberg, some of it has been rebuilt to look like the original. Without a guide to tell you these things, one would never guess that the market square in Old Town Warsaw is a complete reconstruction. This market square, known as a Rynek in Polish, was thriving way back in the 13th century. IMG_0417 IMG_0408 On your left, one of the many churches around. My partner in Poland told me, in Warsaw the number of churches are more than schools. On your right the road for the trams. Somehow I capture this picture because of the dimension. This is the favorite place for wedding photos as mentioned by my Polish friend.

Eisenach, Germany

Eisenach is a city in Thuringia, Germany. It is situated between the northern foothills of the Thuringian Forest and the Hainich National Park. polaroid_eisenach

The name of the place above is Nikolaikirche and Nikolaitor. It is located just next to my hotel (Hotel Steigenberger). It is a very nice and friendly hotel with excellent fine dinning. The hotel is clean, reasonable price with comfortable room and the location is superb as it is near to the train station, market and city center.

IMG_0114 IMG_0070

The history of Eisenach is linked with the Wartburg Castle, which was built according to legend in 1067. There were at least three settlements below the castle, that merged to a common city in the second half of the 12th century. This town, Eisenach, was first mentioned in 1180.

On your right is the big wind turbine to generate "green" power. You can see this on the way from Eisenach to Marksuhl.

Eisenach beautiful night scene....and it's only start to get dark at 10.30p.m IMG_0012 IMG_0052 IMG_0042 IMG_0024

On the way to The Dragon valley......Shhh…silent you will wake the dragon! You have to go through narrow space with two tall walls in between beautiful carved by the mother nature and strictly not for big size people. It was chilling surrounded by greens under the protection of tall trees. It is a beautiful valley surrounded by a very old forest. Definitely a good place to visit especially for family.

Desa park city...the next Mon't Kiara?

Desa park city, a place for family, children and our lovely dog. As you know, many parks in Malaysia forbid dog but not in desa park city. Situated around Damansara area, some people claim Desa Park City is the next Mont Kiara. It is a townhouse with great landscape with beautiful lake meant for jogging, cycling, family picnic, fishing (illegally?) and most important a place for the doggies. There are fancy restaurants and a small mall just next to the park which blend very well after a morning or evening walk. A great place that worth spending some of your weekend or free time for some laughter, pleasure and family life.

Family day - Best Thing in the world is always FREE!

Steamboat 11July

He is my little cousin....big eyes filled with funny action throughout the dinner. We always op for steamboat for family outing mainly because we can sit for a long time, eat slowly, share each other saliva and maybe it allows us to talk to each other while waiting for the soup to get boil. Chinese culture somehow emphasize on family reunion especially dinner before the big event. I guess there must be a reason why our great grandfather emphasizes on this so much. Each of us has our own road, own family, own friend, own home but to be able to sit and chat among each other is something money can’t buy. As old sayings, the best thing in the world is always FREE OF CHARGE! IMG_9784

My cute little cousin, friendly with lots of smiles and laughter!

"Sweet"est love

IMG_9411

"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two." -St. Augustine-

Ying Ker Lou - Hakka Cuisine

What can I say about Ying Ker Lao....first thought MSG free, second Hakka Cuisine. You can see it is written everywhere declaring zero MSG in their cooking. The waiter and waitresses are wearing tag neither their name nor smiley face) but a tag with NO MSG! The food is decent suitable for elderly which is the main reason why I opt for this place + we are Hakkas and the very fact my mum keep complaining about MSG in all the outside food except her cooking! Well proved her wrong :-)

Love is not only about looking at each other, but looking at the same direction...

LOVE IMG_9729

On your right: In Chinese tradition, the bride and groom will pour the champagne together from the top.....flowing down to every cup before serving to the family members on the stage. The family members will happily make a toast by shouting "yum................ seng" to all the guest participate in the wedding dinner. Till now I’m unsure why ‘yum seng – drink to victory’ got anything related to a WEDDING ceremony! Well I guess this is not important as long as each of everyone enjoy the process of congratulating and celebrating for the newly wed :-)

Dragon Door Steamboat

Dragon Door Steamboat a nice and cozy place for family dinner! Great steamboat with intimate Chinese classical ambience – the feeling of getting into ancient Chinese movie kinda place where all the KungFu heroes gather for leader election and dinner. It was an excellent dinner with family, one day before flying to Dhaka and certainly a moment for me to appreciate the love and precious time with family.

Looks nice from the inside and outside.

Using charcoal to boil the mix of pig and herbal soup with the mixture from seafood, lamb, chicken, beef, varieties of wantan, vege and Udon noodle....trust me it feel so good if you only consume the soup alone.
